Happy 1st birthday, In Search of Everywhere! 🎉
How time flies. It feels like in a blink of an eye, In Search of Everywhere has grown up and has reached its first anniversary.
Right at the beginning
I began this blog back in July 2023, midway through a year of travels. I was on a break, having just returned from Glastonbury and three weeks in the Philippines, and was enjoying spending time at home.
Starting a blog to share my travel experiences had been on my mind a lot, and I’d begun writing posts towards the end of my trip. Those rudimentary posts have of course been polished a lot since, but they were the foundations for this blog.
So I spent much of early July building the base of the blog. On 19 July it went live!
A chaotic year
After beginning the blog, I continued my travels. Initially in August I went to three festivals as an Oxfam volunteer, before I flew to Singapore to travel through South-East Asia for four months. I kept writing the backbone of guides for every place I went to as I was travelling, which meant that when I returned, I could write them up with the insider knowledge I needed. I’m still getting those guides onto the blog now.
The last seven months I’ve settled back into full-time work and life, visiting new places in my off-time. As a result, more British locations have wound their way onto In Search of Everywhere – more so I’m sure as time passes.

Looking across the next twelve months
I’m not exactly sure where In Search of Everywhere will go over the next year. There are no big plans or designs, and likewise no big trips on the cards.
I still have a heck of a lot of blog posts from 2023 waiting to be edited and published, so that’ll be my focus for now. After that, I envisage that the content on this blog will become more local.
Ultimately, we will have to see!
Happy 1st birthday 🎉
It is crazy that In Search of Everywhere is now one. However, it’s still very young and has a lot of room to grow. I’m excited to see what happens next!
Thanks for reading as always, and see you soon 🙂
